Damp-Proof Course (DPC)

DPC is a horizontal waterproof barrier at the wall base that stops moisture rising via capillary action. Min 40 mm thick across full wall width, at least 150 mm above FGL/plinth protection. Use 15 MPa concrete with integral waterproofing compound (or stone slab/bitumen felt/polythene); protect external face with waterproof plaster.
